Bottega Fagnola’s daily agenda has been one of the iconic products of the Turin store for over 25 years. Its origin is peculiar: it was born from an intuition of Luciano Fagnola, while looking at some silk cuttings that had been given to his daughter Paola, a child back then.
Since then, the fabric cover has become the distinguishing feature of the planner: every year the most suitable fine fabrics are selected from the samples; these offcuts become “book clothes” to transform the daily planners into unique pieces, with headbands and ribbon bookmark. Usually, the dimension of the fabrics does not allow us to make more than one cover, and the marbled edges makes the planners even more exclusive and inimitable. This technique, in fact, involves the use of colors suspended on a glue bath; due to the technical complexity and the fluid base, it is impossible to create the same identical design twice.
