Our passion for books as objects of value and artistic products has led us to specialize in fine and design bookbinding, through attendance at international courses and seminars and participation in competitions with rewarding results.

This familiarity with the techniques of fine and design binding has made Bottega Fagnola one of the reference workshops, even outside national borders, for the binding of large format, luxury, and collectibles rare editions.
Our portfolio includes limited edition book bindings from the publishing house UTET (Il Numero d’Oro, Ugo Nespolo), Taschen (Genesis, Naomi, among others), Scripta Maneant (La Cappella Sistina), Toribe Editora (1283), Marcel Wanders and Uitgeverrj Komma (Rijks Masters of the Golden Age).

Our bookbinding services for premium editions

Our team includes artisans who specialize in processes that require a very high degree of precision, ingenuity, knowledge and versatility.
Where industrial processes are not enough or do not guarantee the degree of perfection required, artistic craftsmanship takes over.
We guarantee high-skill bindings on limited and/or numbered editions for a market of connoisseurs and collectors, small production runs of up to hundreds/thousands of pieces, provided they are compatible with artisan craftsmanship.

We produce oversized works and are specialists in oversized, coffee table editions and special cover designs or materials.
We provide design consultancy to publishers, creating exclusive prototypes and production processes through dialogue with customers, designers and art directors. We complete customizations with handmade bindings and sewing and with meticulous hot stamping in various colours and finishes, and gildings. The process ends with a rigorous quality control of the individual pieces and with the possibility of making boxes and packaging in line with the design style.
